Yes, absolutely. Though it does seem to make it seem ‘true.’ It’s a cognitive bias to give more credence to the familiar, even if it is unutterably wrong. It takes mental effort to subvert that familiarity, and we need more pieces like yours reminding us. Advice is advisement, not prescription.
