I agree with you, why does size need to be in there at all? I never read about a man’s pant size in books. Descriptions are great. I like how Charlaine Harris describes Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie refers to her size (8–10) but not in every book and only when relevant to the story — like she has to wear someone else’s dress or something.

To me, the obsession with size just hurts us all. But there is hope. Body-positive campaigns, even the pictures I see in retail stores, are starting to feature more real women (and men). I hope the trend continues.
